Energy-saving tips

Just switch it off
Stereo systems, VCRs, TVs and other electronic entertainment equipment are often left in standby mode, consuming unnecessary electricity. The devices still use electricity, even though they are switched off. For example, a television left in standby mode can increase your annual electricity bill by 20 euros. Therefore, always completely disconnect devices from the mains when not in use. Why not simply use a socket strip with a switch.

Turn to the right temperature
It is usually a waste of energy to turn the heating on full in every room. A simple adjustment of the thermostat could save you a lot of money. 20 to 21 degrees Celsius are sufficient in your living room, children's room and study, the temperature in your kitchen, bedroom and hallway can be 2 degrees less and 2 degrees more in your bathroom . A temperature of 12 degrees Celsius is usually sufficient in unused rooms.

Full load – Full use
Use of a half-loaded washing machine or a half-loaded dryer is a waste of money. Because the electricity and water consumption is exactly the same no matter how much washing is in the machine. Therefore, always fully load your washing machine or dryer.
